Sometimes we find it so difficult to forgive people that have offended us. We say all manner of things, how we are going to pay them back. One thing in life, when you refused to let go of whosoever has offended you, indirectly you are limiting yourself from moving forward in life.
It might be that your spouse that has left you alone with those kids, a colleague at your working place, that neighbor that has said some harsh words or even that friend that betrays you. Let go, so that all the prayer request you have asked of God will begin to manifest in your life.
When unforgiveness is in your life, anytime you see or come in contact with that person, you are so bitter, and ever turn to take another turn. You will never want to hear their names or even pick their calls.
You might be wondering why God has not answered your prayers. That is where I come in so strongly. Everything you asked of the maker of heaven and hearth, He has released to you, but because of that unforgiveness, you are the one holding back your breakthrough. 2 Peter1:3 ”By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence”.
When you refused to forgive that fellow that hurts you, the devil will gain access into your thoughts, and begin to magnify himself in your thoughts. He will take control over your thoughts and even when you speak, you speak from the dept of unforgiveness. When you are called to share your ideas and advice, without you knowing it, you speak from the place of anger and bitterness and unforgiveness.
In the book of 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 The Bible made us understand it perfectly how the devil operates with people with unforgiveness. ”Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs”.
I was also a victim of unforgiveness. I was angry because I was left alone to take care of four kids. Each time, I had a relationship, I became pregnant and the moment the man discovered that l am pregnant, I will be abandoned. I held unto bitterness and pain, and the devil came in and magnify himself until a friend of mine asked, me to do something, a simple prayer, and a request. I did, the door of marriage was open. I am happily married now to a different man entirely.
If God can do it for me, if God can turn a single mother of four into a voice to speak to others, I believe that He will do the same in your life. All you need to do is call on him, his mercies are sufficient for the whole world. Don’t wait for another second let go and embrace the light of God.
Joseph forgave his brothers, David forgave Saul even when he had the chance to kill him. Jesus himself forgave us our sins, who are we to not let go of unforgiveness. Free your mind today, so that your door of destiny and breakthrough can be activated
