Don’t Give Up on Yourself!

Written by Jane van Zundert

Hi, I am Jane, I am married and a mother of four. My mission in life is to inspire and motivate you, on how you can break free from fear, shame, and resentment and start creating a balanced life, so that you can begin to enjoy your total freedom and never get stuck again in life.

You might feel like giving up because life has become so complicated. Please, hang on there because God is working out something special for you.
When the mother of Moses could no longer hide him from Pharoah, she took a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. She put the child in it and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank. Moses was later found by Pharaoh’s daughter, who took him in as her child.

As if being adopted by the bloodline that wanted him dead wasn’t enough, Moses came across a brutal Egyptian taskmaster beating one of his people. He killed the taskmaster and secretly buried him in the sand. Moses was later confronted, with the murder, so he fled to Midian, where Yahweh (God) revealed himself in a burning bush and called Moses to deliver the Israelites from Egypt.
Moses was hiding from people, but God was looking for him to rebrand him for a great ministry. How many times have you hidden because of past mistakes? How many times have you cried secretly because of how people treated you? How many times have you questioned yourself because of how people rated your talent?

God never looks at our sins and weakness but as a way to elevate and wipe all our sins away so he could send us on a mission to help others. Moses never believed he was worthy of God’s forgiveness, he condemned himself because of his past mistakes and weakness. He tried to start a new life by himself, but God called him and chose him for a greater mission.

Life can become rough and wearying and you might feel like a boring book forgotten on the bookshelf, don’t give up. God sees the inner heart of every person, and He alone knows the rich content in your life.

Though people might have abandoned and condemned you for your mistakes, you might also have become invisible to them. No one might want to associate with you because of your past.

Listen… Don’t stop living. Don’t stop working on yourself. Don’t even stop improving on your talent, don’t stop serving. Don’t stop loving and believing in God and yourself.

Your elevation might seem impossible to the onlookers. It might seem to be taking a while to see the great manifestation of God, but He will make everything beautiful in His own time, be patient because you will be full again!

Without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. ( Hebrews 11:6 NIV)
