Negative friends are energy drainers who will stop at nothing until they see you crushed down. Who are your friends, and what contribution do they have for you? Anyone who is not affecting you positively shouldn’t be in your life.

We all need to support each other if we must see the result you want. Friendship is to give and take and not take and drain. If you must see result in your life, start today by letting go of anyone that causes you pain. You owe no one an apology, but you must do it consciously.

Here are ways to let go of negative friends.

1. Don’t Be Rude

Be courageous and strong when letting go of negative friends and people around you. Never be rude, but gradually move away from them. You are not a weak person by letting go of energy drainer rather, you are being bold. When you do this, you will soon realize that it is for your good, and you will be proud of the energy you will begin to feel

2. Have Self Love

Do you know that lots of people hang around negative friends and people because they don’t know, how to love themselves? Self-love is the greatest medicine for loneliness. If you as a person don’t love you and be proud of you and whatever you do, how will others love and appreciate you and whatever you do?

It is not arrogant or selfish to take care of yourself first before loving others because you can never give to others what you don’t have. Loving you first will put you in your right frame of mind that will open the door for you to love others. That is why most of those negative friends out there are energy suckers, they refused to see the reality of life and because they cannot love themselves, they will never be able to love and appreciate you. So the change starts with you.

3. Does Your Religion Makes You Hate Someone?

It is so common, now everywhere you turn to is one false preacher to another. All of them bring their laws into the gospel of Christ. God created everyone and gave us dominion over everything. If you ever find yourself in a religion that requires you to hate your fellow human, it is time to quit and look for a true church where the word of God is preached. God is love and whatever he does is with love. So hanging around negative people in the church who suspect everyone is an energy-draining thing to hold unto. Move out of that circle before it is too late.

4. Find Your Inner Peace

To be able to let go of negative friends and people around you, you should be able to find peace with yourself because when you find that peace, that will enable you to see things right. An overloaded mind will always make the wrong decision. To find that peace, you should love yourself, know why Christ died for you, and be content with whatever purpose you are born for.

Never you develop the habit of waiting for people to applaud you. Negative people will only show you the wrong side of things but genuine people and friends will tell you what is wrong and bad. So watch out for these signs and when you find them you are on your road to a more healthy and fulfilled life.
