Lots of people who call themselves Christians can not interpret the Bible. They always depend on their pastor, prophets, and apostle for their knowledge of the scriptures.
It has led to misunderstandings in churches today where false preachers have brought their self-interpretation of the scriptures to suit their teachings and exploit their followers.
To be able to identify yourself as a true Christian and believer, you should know that Jesus is God and God is Jesus. Know that God came in human form as Jesus Christ to set you and I free from sin.
If you read the Bible and see Jesus as the center of the scripture, only then, you can boldly say that you are a Christian. But when you read the Bible and see only Moses and his law, you have ended your self in another religion.
It’s how you read the Bible that will determine your destination. John 5:39 says study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me.
In the book of Luke 9:54, When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them, but Jesus turned and rebuked them, and said, you do not know what manner of spirit you are of.
In most churches today, all they preach is the law of Moses an eye for an eye. False preachers telling their followers to go bring sand from their villages or fathers’ house, so that they will be able to deal with the root of their problems.
I am boldly to say that such an act is pure idol worship, why? Because Christ who was hung on the tree has taken every ancestry curses away and redeemed us from our sin.
Now the question is when you read the Bible who do you see and who are you looking for?
When the Bible is read-only because you want to solve a problem, you will end up in a congregation where the preacher is a native doctor who translated himself into a prophet or a pastor. And if reading the Bible, is for God to kill all your enemies, you will end up in a witchcraft gathering because God is not a murderer.
Until you know and understand that Christ should be seen as the central message of the scriptures you might continue to misunderstand God. In the book of 1 Peter 2:9 The scriptures made us understand that we are chosen people of God.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Get out among false preachers today and say NO TO THEIR FALSE MESSAGES AND DOCTRINES!
