Indeed, religion with contentment is a great gain for you brought nothing into this world, just as you shall not be able to take anything out of it. If you have food and clothing and a place to lay your heads you shall be content with that, knowing that your God in heaven is able to provide all your needs according to His riches in glory.
For those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruin and destruction.
The Bible made us understand that the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains.
Nothing can bring you peace or happiness but yourself. Just like the above scripture from Timothy, You brought nothing into this world and surely, you are going to depart from this world with nothing, a lot of people have gone too soon because of the love for money. I am not saying that having money or being rich is bad, but you as Christians should not allow the love of money to come between you and God.
When you look for money you can easily say that money without wisdom is useless. The matter of money is a very sensitive and spiritual journey of Christians, therefore wisdom is required in dealing with money and that is the wisdom of God.
Money is a very sensitive matter. Money has the capacity to command the affection of people. It is very easy to become a focus of affection in 1Timothy 6:10 ‘’ For the love of money is the root of all evil which while some converted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. If you understand that money is the root of all evil, you will be careful, not to allow money to make you deviate from the things of God.
But when you learn to be content and believe that God is there for you, then you can only possess money with integrity, thereby do not let money take your time from being in the presence of God. If you make money your number one priority, it becomes your center of thoughts and it will begin to control and command your service.
When you have wisdom, it will guide your relationship with money. It helps you to put money in its place and making sure it does not take the place of God in your life. It is one thing to get the money it is another thing to be manipulated by it.
In this generation, where all things are easy to come by if one is willing to take the risk, then we have to know that true wealth is never measured by the quantity of the material things, true wealth is measured by the quality of contentment one has in life. When you leave a life of contentment, that means you will have that innermost peace and satisfaction with whatever you have, then a seed of contentment is produced. So, content or happiness derived from material objects is nothing but a false belief that fades off as fast as it is felt. So please do not waste your time looking back on what you have lost, move on, for life is not meant to be traveled backward.
You are near contentment when you think of yesterday without regret and tomorrow without fear.

Almighty God, when things do not work out the way l want or expect, help me to be contented in Jesus’s name l pray. Amen.
