The most important thing in achieving your aim is to be determined. Where there is determination, there will definitely be room for success. In that mandate God has given to you, in starting that online business or any business, getting married, having children or raising them, getting your health in order, all these can be achieved when the spirit of determination and persistence is in place.
1. Determination pays
Determination pays. Winners never quit. If you know what you want, don’t give up until you achieve it, and never allow anyone to talk you out of your dream, not even your best friend, spouse, family members, when you stay tight you will definitely get there someday.
2. No plan B
In the book of 2 Kings chapter 2:1-22 Elijah knew that he would be taken to heaven by the Lord. As a great prophet of God, who has so many sons in the Lord, but among all of them was one, who knows what he wants and was prepared to do all it takes for his dream to come to reality through determination and persistence and was never ready to quit, he has no plan B, all he wanted was the same anointing from his master Elijah.
3. Have faith
Even when Elijah told Elisha to wait somewhere, that he needed to go on an errand for the Lord, Elisha who knew what he wanted, refuse to let go of his master, that prove, that he was a faithful servant and was willing to go to any length to achieve his goal in life. How determined are you to that goal of yours?
”Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here please, for the LORD has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they ‘went down to Bethel” 2 Kings 2:2
4. Stay focused
Elijah continues to test Elisha to see how determined he was in achieving his goals. That is what happens to us in life, we are not supposed to quite our dream or lose focus just because things are not happening the way we design or expected it to happen. The other sons of the prophet tried to distract him, but he stayed calm and focused. Who are the people in your life that are trying to distract you in achieving your goals? Or in that mandate that has been given to you. Say No to them and stay focus.
5. Avoid negative people
Elisha was tested three times, he passed all the test. That is all you need in life. Have you ever be discouraged by others? And you were so convinced that they were supposed to support you, it might be your family members, spouse, children even your fellow Christian brothers and sisters in the Lord. Hold on to your dream, just like Elisha, who refused to quit and in the end, he got what he wants even a double portion of it.
