Lots of people give their power out without realizing it. Giving out your power can happen so fast by saying YES instead of saying a NO. But here are some ways to get your power back!
1. Learn To Say No
To get your power back, you should be able to say no and stand by it. Most people don’t know how to say No they give out their YES when they mean to say No and, this has caused lots of stress and pain in people. When carefully observed, these are people seeking approval and attention from people. They want to belong and be comfortable in whatever circle they belong to. Have you ever think about how many times you have betrayed yourself by your yes when you mean a no? “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.“ – Matthew 5:38
2. Stop Playing The Victim
Know that not everyone will understand you or agree with you when you tell your story so, playing the victim will leave you exhausted, but when you ignore whatever has happened. Learn to take the lesson and move on by not holding onto people’s perception
3. Get Out From Toxic Circle
Yes, you are a good person who wants the best for everyone, so you find it difficult to walk away from people you know suck the life out of you and leave you powerless, confused, angry, and emotionally drained. When you know that your life is precious and you have the right to choose, you will never give your power out but choose that which is good and beneficial to you. Set your boundaries, take good care of yourself. Lots of people give their power out by staying in a toxic ministry. They see the manipulating act of false preachers but choose to stay for fear of what might happen to them.
Whatever is not serving you should be thrown out of your life immediately. “In Christ, you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.” – Colossians 2:10
4. Build Your Confidence
You might ask, what does confidence has to do with getting your power back? Everything! When you are confident, you will need no one’s approval to act. You know who you are and what you are capable and born to do. You know your worth and, you are bold to take action. To be able to get your power back, confidence is needed, and investing in knowledge and yourself.
5. Trust Yourself
You are more powerful than you think. Learn to applaud yourself for all you do. Your level of confidence will bring out your worth. Have the courage to do the things you want, and never postpone your ideas. You are never alone. God is with you all the way.
In conclusion
To be able to reclaim your power back, start today by doing that which you love and always wanted to do. While not start with that No instead of a Yes. Stop overthinking and underestimating yourself. Affirm positive words into your life and let it be a daily routine
Words like I am bold
I am confident
I am powerful
I am knowledgeable
I am smart
I am loved
When you affirm these words daily, you will automatically see yourself walking in abundance. You will have the power and strength to empower others.
