The book of Psalm 64:3 says: They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows. What are you confessing to yourself and what are you pronouncing on your children? Are your words building people or destroying them?

What is your contribution to people’s lives, are words encouraging them and giving them hope, are you helping people build their confidence, or are your words making them lose their self-worth and confidence?

Words are strong and can be very damaging if not controlled. Lots of false preachers today curse their followers for not adhering to their doctrine. They use words to destroy them and add a message of fear to them. They have turned themselves into the agent of the devil and speak from the place of anger.

All they do is pour out insult on their members who dare to ask questions why certain things are happening in the congregation. Likewise, some parents use abusive words like the edge of a sword to pierce their children through their hearts and they wonder why such children are not making it in life.

Here is the truth. Every word that proceeds out of our mouth will never fall to the ground. Words are like seeds, they have roots. So you have to be careful how you use it. Speak the word of faith and blessings on your children. And if you are a preacher, learn to choose your words.

Learn to correct people with love and a kind spirit. As parents speak positivity into the lives of your children. Help bless their destiny with your words, help guide them with your words because that is what will help them grow to become that better person you want.

Prayer

Dear God I pray for anyone reading this post, help them guide their mouth. Help them to choose their words wisely so that when they speak it becomes a blessing to whosoever they speak to. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
