It can become lonely when you feel no one understands you or respects what you stand for. It gives you the feeling that you are not wanted. You might try buying your friends and forcing them to accept you, but the truth is, it might not give you the satisfaction you need.
But here are some reasons God takes you through the journey of being alone.
- To expose you to His plans for your life. For I know, the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) God will do all it takes to open your eyes so you will see His plan for your life. If that includes taking you through a lonely path, He will do that.
- To bring you into His blessings. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from God. (Psalm 24:5) Because His blessings are sufficient for you, He will make sure He has your full attention so you can see your inner potential.
- To drive away dream killers. Sometimes you might be hanging around those that don’t like what you do and what you stand for, but they pretend to like you. And because God’s plan for you is to prosper you, He will protect you from them by moving you out of their circle.
- God loves you. God will not stand to see you fail. He will not want to see you cry because he loves you and wants the best for you. So He takes you through that lonely path so He will be able to get your attention.
You’re the apple of God’s eyes. He will take you from grass to grace, and everyone will see the abundance of God in your life.
