You never know what battles anyone is fighting until you get a chance to meet and hear from them, so quit judging them because they might have fought battles you’re not even aware of. Just because they find the courage to put on a smile doesn’t mean all is well.
They might have learned to bottle their shame, humiliation, and trauma to avoid more ridicule, and this attitude has shaped and molded them into who they became in life.
