Some people are fond of putting on the garment of problems, they want you to always be there for them. They have created an avenue and that is a crisis avenue. They always want you to be there for them and they will not be ready to stand up for you.
When you need their help they are nowhere to be found, but they expect you to cheer them up and keep running after them. Sometimes they make you feel guilty because you were not able to help them out.
Stop all the controllers in your life! Yes, you love them, but you need to also set boundaries for yourself to avoid them dumping all their problems on you. Their happiness lies in their hand and they must be willing to fix it. But you have to protect your own peace.
It might be that job or that boss that wants you to keep on running after them but never will be there when you need them. All they want is you answering yes to their commands without having any idea how you will go about their request.
Each one of us has limited emotional energy that is meant for us, so taking on people’s problems will leave you with no energy. Take notice of people who are angry when you set your boundary, these are controllers and manipulators.
They are always using you to get what they want. To be honest no one needs a friend like that, start to make that change today, stay away from controllers.
Proverbs 29:25 “The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.”
