Learning to be an apprentice first, means to give yourself out for learning. To be able to master whatever you do, either small or great you must start from the place of an apprenticeship.

”One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself.”
-Leonardo Da Vinci

In the stage of learning, it might seem you are not progressing or making success, but your mind is undergoing a great transformation, in a way that will navigate you to success. As little children, we learn lots from our parents and siblings even from elders around us. This might be our uncles, aunties, etc. We also learn a lot from our teachers and this is mainly from textbooks and other teaching materials.

When we grow up to face the world on our own, this can become scary, because whatever we learned from a young age is to be put to test when we become adults. That whole process, from child to adult can be seen as an apprentice period. To be able to scale through that hustle is when we need to bring into practice what we have been thought and that is called mastery.

But this mastery will not come so easy until you know the simple principles of apprenticeships.
Know that until you master what you do and be confident in it, it might not yield success. It is not all about money, a good position, or even that great diploma. That tile cannot give you the mastery but through learning and the renewal of your mind. That is when your transformation starts.

In conclusion. In your apprenticeship stage, you will be insecure and sometimes emotionally affected because of your limited experiences in your field. But as you transit from an apprenticeship, you are developing mastery. You will become strong and know how to manage complexities and critics. You must have transformed yourself from a scattered and impatient person into a disciplined, determined, and focused person.

When Jesus was on earth He was always teaching his disciples. He was always teaching them in parables and was able to transform them from that place of complexity into a place where they become bold and strong to press through the hard storm.

What are you facing today that seems difficult? Go back to the place of apprenticeship. Study to show yourself approved. Never be discouraged if you are not seeing results, know that the more you study the easier it will be for you to master whatever you do.
