Fear has been our lifelong adversary and friend. Fear is what can tear us apart and build us. Fear has the power to keep us moving or keep us in the dark. Fear has the power to push us backward as well as pushing us forward in life. But do you know that fear can be used to our advantage? Fear can be used to inspire us, and our quest to learn how this adversary called fear can push us forward.
To start, you need to truly know yourself. What is triggers you to feel fear? What is your purpose? What are the things you want to achieve in your life? Who do you want to be with? One thing you must know is that fear goes with you wherever you go so get used to it. Try to learn more from fear and learn from your past mistakes. If carefully observed, you will find out that fear will shape you but remember to empower the world around you with it.
Here are some tips
- Know that fear is not real
So instead of magnifying that fear in your life, turn it to your advantage by simply analyzing what must have happened in the past, and finding out what triggered those fears in you. Simply think of what you were afraid of in the past that never happened. This will help you overcome your current state of fear.
2. Use fear in you to refine your ideas.
Some experiences might be very painful. Maybe that failed business cut up in a fake ministry, or even a dishonest marriage, etc. Always learn to take the lessons from painful experiences and fuel them for your goals and success. Embrace the strength in you and you will be able to overcome anything before you.
I used to be so scared, and very frustrated due to what happened in my life. Many times I took a job I didn’t love. I was abandoned so many times in a relationship, but the moment I rediscovered myself by using fear to my advantage, I began to see results in my life.
It was during that dark moment, I started my DIY channel. I found out that I have hidden potentials. I could recycle any old bags and shoes, by giving them new looks. I also wrote my first book called ‘Light Shining Through Darkness’. This means fear can be used to our advantage by not letting it cripple us rather fuel us up.
3. You will be fine by those things.
Life is full of ups and downs but is good to know that life is a learning curve. So never be scared when things are not working for you. Whatever situation you are facing in life the way you react to it, will determine how far you will go, but when you react to fear positively by turning it to your advantage, it will build you up and if you are observant you will discover new ideas.
4. Imagining someone living your dream will this will help you focus on your goals
Jealousy has made lots of people get stuck in life. Anyone who burns their energy on someone else’s lifestyle is not only ungrateful for life but equally wasting their time and years.
Each one of us is born with uniqueness, we can learn from people. We can model people, but never make the mistake of living in their shadows, because everyone’s dream is to be better than their teacher.
So instead of envying someone else turn that jealousy to your advantage. Don’t be scared that you will never make it rather focus on your vision.
5. We cannot avoid failure but we can learn well from it
No one can say, I have never failed in life. Any successful person knows what it takes to fail but also knows how to turn that failure into success. So there is no teacher as impacting as the sting of failure.
In conclusion. Sometimes we are so consumed by our fears that we have no time to appreciate the strength it takes to overcome fear and anxiety. Take time to look at things you use to fear and how you overcame them. Things that used to weigh you down or caused you to cry then you will be proud to pat yourself on the back because you are stronger than you think.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.
