Don’t be carried away with a multitude. Drop that extra luggage so that God will be able to use you freely. Sometimes we think that getting engaged in so many activities will get us to that desirable end. But here is a story from the Bible that inspires me.

You might have heard of the story of Gideon in the Bible. In his community, the people were always scared of the Midianites who come and carry all their earnings and harvest away at night. It was becoming so serious, that Gideon has to go in the night to hide some food.

One day the angel of the Lord visited him and called him a mighty man of valor. Gideon did not believe that he could defeat the enemy. But when the deal day came. God told him to announce to the people that anyone who is not ready for war should go back home and 22 thousand men left, and another 10 thousand left after another test, and Gideon, was left with just 300 hundred men. Then God told him that he was ready for the war. Gideon went with just 300 hundred men and won the battle.

What is your story today? Have you be carrying lots of extra bags that can not help you move forward. The truth is, God can do far better with you with just a little than you hanging around multitude. Your relationship and faith in God are what matters.

Stop running from place to place looking for where a crowd gathers thinking that you will find God and peace in there rather, take time to study your Bible and allow God to work with you.
