Sometimes I wonder if we know how God loves us and how He cares and keeps us safe? Have you taken time out to observe how God still loves us even in our messed-up state? We messed up so many times in our lives, and we know it, feel it, and sometimes sense it.
That period in our lives when we go back doing those things we are not proud to do. There are moments in our lives that we come of knowledge that no matter how messed up we are, that we can still go back to God and, He will forgive us.
There are seasons in my life where I messed up and was so ashamed to go before the Lord, and I know that it’s was the work of the enemy to see me lavished in that unforgiveness. When I finally realized that I have a father who never judges or criticized, I put myself together and went back to Him, cried like a baby, and God forgave me and gave me a new start.
I was praying and, I asked God to show me what He wants me to teach his people, and He referred back to the situation that l have repented of and have said to myself, I will never make that mistake again but end up doing the same thing and that almost cost me my life. Then God took me to the story of the prodigal son.
The story of the prodigal son shows how lovely God is to us, irrespective of how many times we messed up.
In the book of Luke 15:11-32, there was a man who has two sons. One of the sons came to his father and demanded his inheritance. The father gave the prodigal son his share. The Bible made us understand that he went into a far country, where he squanders all his money and became a keeper of pigs. He even ate the same food as the animals.
He was first scared to return home, but when he remembered that God is a lovely God who will never judge or criticized him, he put himself together and went back to his father. When his father saw him in a far distance, he ran up to met him. His father embraced him and said, my lost child, is back. He organized a feast for him.
How many times have you wandered away from God? Are you scared that God will never forgive you? From the above story, you can see that God is ever forgiving. Cry to Him, return to Him and allow Him to take over your life, and your life will never be the same.
