Lots of lives have been ruined, just because they put all their trust either in the approval of people who live by people’s opinion of them. In life, if you must succeed and live in the liberty of Christ, you must see yourself as valuable. You must learn to appreciate Christ in you and work on yourself rather than giving your power out.
It is all good when people cheer you up, believe in you, make you feel great and valuable. Sometimes we are encouraged and complimented by our spouse and children, best friend, and colleagues but, it is also very necessary not to be carried away by all this, rather been confident and strong in yourself and have faith in God.
God uses people to elevate us. People are like tools that we all need to get to the next level in life, but the danger in relying on people is, you might become too comfortable and unfunctional without their encouragement and support.
When you depend on people’s approval in all you do and allows it to become your aim, that will make you unproductive when their praises stop.
No one is perfect, so whatever you are doing that vision and purpose of yours, learn to stand firm, rely on God, who always got your back and will never let you down. He alone can cheer you up and lead you through hard and tough seasons.
When Jesus was about to be crucified, even Peter denied him three times. Jesus could have been angry that his friend denied him at the very point. So quit relying on people to be complete because you have been made complete in Christ. God has crowned you with dreams, visions, favors, and abundance so, quit waiting for people’s approval and start approving yourself. Learn to say to yourself I am a child of God, so I am not worried about people hating me or disagreeing with me. I can do what He says I can do, and I am who He says I am. I am blessed.
When you start validating yourself, others will have no choice but to keep on valuing you and whatever you are born to do. When your focus is on people you, will lose your worth. Know that people will always have their lives to live, so work on yourself and learn to depend on God because he is ever-present in times of need and will never be too tired to console, direct and give you whatever you need. You are his child and, He is your father.
“Surely, God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. Psalm 54:4”
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10”
