4 Ways Satan Tries To Destroy Your Marriage! Don’t Allow Satan to Destroy Your Marriage

Written by Jane van Zundert

Hi, I am Jane, I am married and a mother of four. My mission in life is to inspire and motivate you, on how you can break free from fear, shame, and resentment and start creating a balanced life, so that you can begin to enjoy your total freedom and never get stuck again in life.

In the book of Genesis, Adam and Eve were the first people that enjoyed the gift of marriage. God made man and later formed Eve from the rib of Adam. They were happy together and, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife. (Mark 10:7).

The devil is furious to see man and woman come together as husband and wife and remain happy. So the only thing he does is bring confusion to disorganize their marriage, and he uses four tools to accomplish his mission. These are fear, lies, division, scoffers.

  1. Fear

The devil uses fear to accomplish his mission because what you’re afraid of might come to pass. The devil knows and because he wants you to live in fear, stress, and anxiety. He will do everything to disorganize your thoughts, so you won’t be able to think straight.

The only way to defeat the devil is to trust and fear the only One who has the power to speak life into dead things. Are you scared? Then find out what you’re afraid of, and bring everything to God in prayers.

2. Lies

Never entertain lies of the enemy. You know who he is and what he is capable of doing. The best way to beat the adversary is to hold onto the word of God and His promises for your life and your marriage.

The enemy can go to any length to inject lies into your mind. They can be very convincing, but test it with the word of God, spend time in prayers.

Ask yourself the lies you have been believing about yourself or your spouse and make amends.

3. Jealousy (Scoffers)

There will always be people out there who don’t want to see your marriage work. These are sets of people who allow the enemy to use them to achieve their goals. They are jealous, envious, bitter, and skeptical. They are those that come to you with negative thoughts and ideas that can set you in a suspicious mood about your spouse.

To defeat the enemy, remain confident in the word of God. In anyway scoffers question your marriage, parenting, or even your business. Stand firm together as husband and wife surround yourself with scriptures and look for a good community where you’re nourished daily with the word of God.

4. Division

In the book of Matthew 12:25, Jesus saw the thoughts of men and said every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. The adversary knows this so he comes with tricks and cunning deceptions to destroy marriages. He knows that when there is division in marriage, there will be no unity in prayers and serving God.

In Conclusion

There is nothing like a perfect marriage. Marriage is a union between two persons and, both need perseverance and understanding to be able to beat the devil at his game.

When you start looking for perfection in your spouse, you’re falling into the trap of the devil, who claims to be a roaring lion going to and fro looking for whom to devour.

The devil is never happy with marriages, so he will do anything to destroy them. So don’t create loopholes because when the edge is broken, the serpent will bite.

If you must enjoy a peaceful and happy marriage, don’t look for the perfect marriage, but work together with your spouse on becoming better.

When you see less about the imperfection in your spouse but learn to recognize the blessing in your marriage, there will be peace and happiness.

Always make time out to discuss what is not working in your marriage and try fixing it together. Stay away from blaming each other but choose to come together in understanding.

Allow God to be the backbone of your marriage.
