God is letting you feel empty inside to get your attention. This kind of emptiness can last for a short while, but if the source is not discovered it can also last throughout a lifetime. The question is, what is emptiness as a believer?
As a believer, when your source of life is not from God, it brings loneliness and emptiness and, you might begin to feel a lack of motivation to do anything.
Here are 5 Ways God is letting You Feel Empty Inside
- God will allow you to feel empty from inside if you’re not doing His will according to His plans for your life. God wants the best for us, but He also wants us to follow His plan for our lives. Until you learn to always go back to God, there might be a sense of emptiness trying to do it your way. Doing it your way will lead to proudness that will separate you from Him. In (Hosea 13:5-6). Said I cared for you in the wilderness, in the land of burning heat. When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me. People may plan all kinds of things, but the Lord’s will is going to be done. (Proverbs 19;21) Feeding your soul with the word of God daily will help boost your sense of living because His grace, mercy, and love are all we need to succeed in life.
- God will allow you to feel empty inside when you continue to feed your soul with junk food. The kind of books, movies, and songs you listen to can create a space of emptiness in your life. It’s wise to feed your soul with spiritual food which is the word of God. In this new age, there are lots of options to choose from. When you tune in to YouTube there will be many options to choose from. There are lots of false teachers who are out to destroy and steal from people. They entertain their members with jokes and make them laugh, but the truth is their members go home empty. The same goes for lots of Christian songs. They sound very spiritual but lack Biblical lyrics. So when you hear them, they make you jump and dance but still feel empty inside. That is why the Bible told us to set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2). When you study the word of God, you will be feeding your soul with His goodness and, your joy will be complete. The Bible warns to be very careful, then, how you live not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil ( Ephesians 5:15-16).
- God will allow you to feel empty if you harbor sins. When you entertain sins, it will gradually eat your happiness and peace. The sense of guilt will always distract you from becoming who God wants you to be. (Proverbs 28:13) He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion. David also understood the gravity of concaeling sins. He said in (Psalm 32:1-5). Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. When we confess our sins and ask God for forgiveness. He will forgive us.
- God will allow you to feel empty if you ignore His purpose for your life. When you ignore who you are, you will feel empty inside. You will continually chase shadows. You might not be able to see results in what you do. Your life can become meaningless. When you see a lion being caged, his life purpose has been taken from it. He becomes powerless. The same to us as humans. When we forget who we are, it makes us feel empty inside. As a believer, we’re created with a life purpose. Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made (Isaiah 43:7). If you discover your life purpose, you will feel the fullness of God from the inside out.
In conclusion. Don’t forget. We all are created to Praise, worship, and glorify God. Use it wisely and, your life will never remain the same.
