Don’t Give Up Because of Pressure! God’s plan for us is of good and not of evil. It’s to bring us to that perfect end. Jesus died for us and gave us victory over every plan of the adversary. When Naomi lost her husband and two sons, she was devasted and decided to return to her homeland.
She told her daughters-in-law to go back to their parents. At first, both of them refused, but after much pressure from Naomi, Orpha gave in and kissed her mother-in-law goodbye. But Ruth insisted on going with Naomi to wherever she went. Ruth saw beyond what Orpha saw. She understood that giving up is not an option but trusting God to turn the impossibility around to possibility was the only way out.
How many times have you given up on the verge of a breakthrough? How many times have you allowed the pressure of life or pressure from others to change your ways of thinking?
Here are the lessons from the Story of Ruth:
1. She saw goodness and blessings from her sadness.
2. She stayed firm and focused on God’s promises.
3. She was determined not to give up.
4. She believed God to be the author and the finisher of her faith.
5. She holds onto trust and hope in God.
6. In the storm of her life, she never allowed her situation to determine her outcome.
What was like a burden to Naomi was played out to become a successful one? Ruth got married again and, The joy of the baby brought joy and satisfaction to Naomi. She came to realize that God had never forsaken her. Ruth gave birth to Obed, who was the grandfather of King David.
God will always come through for us in times of storm. He will never allow the pressure of life to consume us but make a way of escape for us. I encourage you never to allow the pressure of life to take away your faith, hope, trust, and belief. God is more than able to do beyond human imagination, so your case will not be different!
