Hold on to God and you will be able to avoid disappointment. When people put their hope on a mortal man, they lose sight of God. Anyone without Christ is bound to end up in crisis and disappointment.

Who are you holding on to? If you hold on to people, there are bound to be disappointments. The only person that can never disappoint you is God. If your hope is built on him alone, not on your pastor, apostle, prophet, and prophetess, friend, or family, then you are secured. The only way to avoid disappointment is not to put all your hope on men.

When Joseph was thrown into the prison by the wife of Potiphar, he interpreted a dream for two men in the prison and, he begged them to remember him when they are released. Unfortunately, he was forgotten, if not for God that gave a strange dream to the king that made him release Joseph. Joseph would have been forgotten in prison.

So many of us are like Joseph, we hope and believe that people we hold onto can help us out rather they turn out to be the very ones to disappoint us.

Hold on to Christ in Him you will always find a companion that will never leave or forsake you and will never disappoint you, unless you have no faith in Jesus’ finished work on the cross.
