Are you in a church where all you hear is demons, serpent, spiritual husbands, kill the witch, prayer of fall down and die, stamp on the head of the enemies, bring native pots, buy special oil, come with a certain amount of money, sow a seed for miracle babies, don’t listen to any other preacher, don’t exchange contact with other brethren, don’t go to any celebration on Sundays, don’t attend anyone’s birthday parties if they are not in the same church with you? These are all forms of abuses that are secretly inflicted, on people without them taking note of it. If this is you, then you are in a church that physically, mentally, and emotionally abuses you.

Abuse is the improper usage or treatment of a thing, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in many forms, such as physical or verbal maltreatment, injury, assault, violation, rape, unjust practices, crimes, or other types of aggression.

I was a member of a church where all that is said above was the doctrine of the church. I became so hard on myself until the lockdown where God exposed me to a different messages online sent to me by a friend that got eyes opened. I received my deliverance by listening to the true gospel of Christ. I realize that all the money I have been paying to false prophets can never set me free and I was ignorant of the fact that Christ has paid the price on the cross of Calvery once and for all. Christ in me is the hope of all glory. I am no longer living in condemnation of sins or whatever my forefathers did.

I was slapped on the head so many times, turned around until I become dizzy and lost balance fall to the ground. I came home most of the time with injuries inflicted on me all in the name of deliverance and instead of seeing results I gradually became the shadow of my very self. I lost lots of weight and was no longer having pleasure in the things of life rather than praying to crushed all my enemies, who never exist.

To be honest, it came to a point that I began to panic on Sundays because I don’t know what the false prophet will see or say. My children began to see only demons in their dreams and became suspicious of everything on earth.

We have to be careful of the places we go and fellowship because lots of false preachers abuse their members and exploit them of their money and possessions and abuse them mentally, emotionally, and physically all in the name of deliverance. Christ has delivered us, the only work you need to do is to be born again by accepting the true gospel of Jesus. When the spirit of God dwells in you, you will become allergic to sin, and there is no more room for sins in your life.

Here are some Bible verses to remind you of who you are in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Colossians 1:27

To them, God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

John 14:23

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

1 John 5:12

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

Remain blessed.
